Responsibilities
The Short Term Expert will fill the role in an anticipated 3 years agricultural project funded by a donor, focusing on the agriculture sector. The successful candidate will ensure that trainings for trainers is effectively carried out as a resource person. This will also function as an advisory position. The tasks outlined below are the key responsibilities, but the candidate is expected to perform any tasks that are necessary within the context of the evolving needs of the project.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Conduct training of trainers for the SME Loop and the Farmer Business Schools.
- Provide advisory and capacity building on good agricultural practice (GAP), innovative business approaches, and production systems.
- Any other tasks that may be assigned.
Minimum: B.Sc/B.A Experience: 10-15 year(s) |

General Requirements
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in agronomy/agriculture, engineering, economics, social sciences or another relevant area of study.
- Fluent in English with excellent communication, analytical and strategy skills
- 10-5 years of professional experience in Value Chains support.
- 5 years of experience in training of trainers for entrepreneurship. Specific experiences in the SME Loop and/or FBS or related approaches are not mandatory, but an added advantage.
- 5 years of experience in Development Corporation projects.
- Ability to develop well written, cohesive analyses and reports
