Responsibilities
One of Nigeria's leading Out-of-Home advertising companies operating in the billboard, transit segments and across all the major digital media space is currently recruiting to fill the position of Media Adverts Sales Executive.
As a result of expansion, the company is urgently seeking the services of a qualified candidate who will be responsible for identifying opportunities that bring together people, processes, and infrastructure to drive new business and current leads by acting as liaison officer between the business unit and customers thereby advancing position.
Job Descriptions
- Generate leads and efficiently keeping in regular contact with existing prospects
- Come up with Alternative Media Platforms to create relevant campaigns for sales optimization
- Work closely with relevant stakeholders to develop bespoke campaigns to relevant prospects
- Present to senior decision makers within agencies and media owners
- Understand and keep up-to-date with constant developments in the adverts and communications industry and agency market
- Network across media houses, media planning and buying community
- Analyze opportunities for growth in market segments to drive profitability
- Identify areas for expansion and development for sales optimization
- Develop a targeted long-term new business strategy to help media foster growth in key business areas
- Create weekly/monthly forecasts on revenue/target management and end of month reports on revenue and market performance;
- Develop entry level staff into valuable salespeople
- Deliver on targets to ensure revenue expectations are met
- Input into sales and market collateral – how the business positions itself for various audiences
- Maximize networking opportunities and regularly use conferences, events and trade shows to increase awareness and develop a further network of contacts
- Develop case studies and other professionally created sales collaterals
- Conduct outbound prospecting via email, phone and face to face meetings
- Contribute to the overall development of the company media, in terms of positioning in the market
- Participate in account brainstorming and media strategy development
- Build and maintain detailed knowledge of the sectors our clients/prospects work in
- Create links and develop effective working relationships with appropriate 3rd parties
- Attend networking events/seminars to maximize awareness of the company media’s brand
- Working alongside the Managing Director to identify opportunities with current clients
- Working closely with internal teams to ensure smooth of integration campaigns (increase in profit)
Minimum: B.Sc/B.A Experience: 3-5 year(s) |

General Requirements
Education & Qualification
- First degree from a reputable and accredited institution
- Professional membership of APCON, NIPR
Knowledge Requirements
- Good knowledge of advertising, outdoor and alternative Media
- Time management
- Operational knowledge of office computer
- Knowledge of marketing / agency/ media environment
- Good knowledge of legislation and governance body such as LASAA, NCC.

Work Experience
- Minimum 2/3 years’ experience within Business Development/New Business or Account Management role (face-to-face experience imperative; experience within the media, marketing and communications world preferred)
- Experience working in a marketing / agency/ media environment and understanding of (and passion for) the industry.
