The company urgently requires the services of qualified candidates to fill the position of Machinist.
Responsibilities
- To be able to operate machining equipment such as lathe, milling machine, drill etc., and to be conversant with machining techniques particularly for equipment replacement parts Conducting all types of emergency repairs, maintenance, adjustments of important tools with the aim of maximizing operational efficiency.
- Set up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments.
- Fabricate and modify parts to make or repair machine tools or maintain industrial machines, applying knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures
- To order and keep in stock sufficient machining materials and tools.
- To ensure equipment is operated in the correct manner and that all safety regulations (use of goggles, screws etc.) are strictly adhered to.
- To carry out such tasks / duties as may be assigned by his Supervisor(s).
- To attend safety meetings amongst his group.
- To work towards a zero defect operation.

General Requirements
- Individual must have minimum 5 years’ experience as a Machinist.
