The company urgently requires the services of qualified candidates to fill the position of Derrick Crane Operator.
Responsibilities
- To operate derrick crane within its safe working limits.
- To observe condition of wires and report any broken strands, kinks etc., to his immediate Supervisor.
- To follow instruction, form designated Foreman on deck.
- Operate equipment to lift and move materials, machines, or products in many directions.
- Gives and understands common hand signals and connects to and lift equipment and materials safely.
- Displays thorough knowledge of rigging devices and components such as wire ropes, chains, slings, hooks, sockets, thimbles, spreader bars, sheaves, rotating equipment, heaters etc.
- Knowledge of proper use and care for tools and equipment commonly employed on an industrial construction project such as chain-falls, jacks, slings, choker, shackles, clips etc.

General Requirements
- 5 -7 years of experience as Derrick Crane Operator.
- Should have several years’ experience in operation of cranes (particular large cranes) in an offshore environment. Would be beneficial to have some mechanical background to be familiar with mechanical working of cranes.
- Knowledge of rigging techniques for heavy lift operation is required.
