Responsibilities
A top business process outsourcing company urgently requires the services of an experienced and qualified candidate to fill the position of Director of Sales.
Core Functions:
- Responsible for meeting Annual Sales Target set by the Management
- Collaborates with MD/CEO in establishing and recommending the most realistic sales goals for the company
- Manages service or product line to maximize sales revenues and meet corporate objectives
- Ensures consistent, profitable growth in sales revenues through positive planning, deployment and management of sales personnel
- Identifies objectives, strategies and action plans to improve short- and long-term sales and earnings
- Establishes and manages effective programs to compensate, coach, appraise and train sales personnel
Other Duties
- Performs sales activities on major accounts and negotiates sales price and discounts in consultation with MD/CEO
- Responsible for managing personnel and developing sales and sales support staff
- Reviews progress of sales roles throughout the company
- Accurately forecasts annual, quarterly and monthly revenue streams
- Develops specific plans to ensure revenue growth in all company’s products
- Provides quarterly results assessments of sales staff’s productivity
- Coordinates proper company resources to ensure efficient and stable sales results
- Formulates all sales policies, practices and procedures
- Assists sales personnel in establishing personal contact and rapport with top echelon decision-makers
- Collaborates with MD/CEO to develop sales strategies to improve market share in all product (our solutions) solution and service lines
- Interprets short- and long-term effects on sales strategies in operating profit
- Educates sales team by establishing programs/seminars in the areas of new account sales and growth, sales of emerging products and multi-product sales, profitability, improved presentation strategies, competitive strategies, proper use and level of sales support, management of expenses and business/financial issues on contracts
- Holds regular meeting with sales staff
- Maintain and develop a computerized customer and prospect database
- Respond to and follow up sales enquiries by telephone, and personal visits to Clients
- Maintain and develop existing and new customers through planned individual account support, and liaison with internal order-processing staff
- Monitor and report on activities and provide relevant management information
- Carry out market research, competitor and customer surveys
- Liaise and attend meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties and aid business and organizational development
- Responding to bids, RFPs and Clients request
- Plan and implement sales and customer retention and development
- Preparation of proposals and making presentations
- Occasional travel for Business Meetings

General Requirements
- Previous experience working as a sales director ideally for a similar organisation- 8-12 Years
- Natural leader with an ability to inspire performance with sales teams.
- Strong commercial outlook and an entrepreneurial approach to business development.
- Formal sales training would be an advantage but not essential.
- Proven track record of achieving sales growth and delivery of results to business plans.
- Proven sales executive experience, meeting or exceeding targets
- Previous experience as a sales executive, sales manager or sales and marketing director
- Ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level
- Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
- Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of products and services
- Proven ability to position products against competitors
- Demonstrable experience as head of sales, developing client-focused, differentiated and achievable solutions
- Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- B.A/B.Sc degree or equivalent
- Developing budget
