A top business process outsourcing company urgently requires the services of an experienced and qualified candidate to fill the position of Head, Human Resources.
Job Description
- Act as the face of HR for the company
- Administer a wide variety of personnel policies, processes and employment agreements covering recruitment, selection, hiring, orientation, employment contracts, compensation schedule, etc
- Develop and implement an annual agenda for HR strategy and ensure that HR plans not only support the needs of the business but are also flexible enough to cope with changes in the organization, as and when they occur
- Consults and advises management on a wide variety of sensitive personnel issues covering discipline, hiring, promotions, etc. for the purpose of assisting in effective decision making and enforcing all relevant policies, procedures and regulations.
- Champion and contribute to all change management initiatives within the business to ensure that each change curve is shortened by working with all stakeholders and managing their expectations
- Responsible for Human Resources process design to ensure alignment with the company’s short and long term goals and driving the design implementation to ensure full adoption
- Responsible for instituting the right cultural environment that will enable the creation of a vibrant, open and healthy work environment
- Constantly review employee remunerations and rewards and make well supported recommendations for pay positioning after adequate research and in consultation with finance, management and the Board
- Manage the company /employee reward process to make sure that it effectively supports the behaviour and performance expectations for the business and ensures employee retention
- Monitor the organization’s staffing budgets, departmental budget allocations, expenditures and related financial activities for the purpose of ensuring that allocations are accurate, expenses are within budget limits and/or fiscal practices are followed
- Research information required to manage assignments including reviewing relevant policies, current practices, staffing requirements, financial resources, etc. for the purpose of developing new programs and services that will give the organization an edge over its peers
- Ensure organization-wide compliance with legislative requirements as it concerns human resources administration
- Work with the learning and development team to devise key ways to develop and enhance staff employability and productivity
- Responsible for senior level decision making and both day to day management and strategic direction of the organization
- Conduct training needs analysis and designs and implement a training plan with input from business heads. Manage costs to budget.
- Ensure all staff receive appraisals in accordance with company policy and monitor probationary periods
- Ensure all Job Descriptions are kept up to date, create new JDs as and when necessary
- Deal with any performance or grievance issues in a legally compliant and professional way
- Ensure all policies and procedures are up to date and legally compliant
- Maintain a succession plan for all departments
- Involvement in all redundancy consultations
- Ensure payroll is completed accurately and to deadline

General Requirements
- The Ideal candidate must have a B.Sc in any Social Sciences, Humanities, Business Administration or Law disciplines
- Master's degree in Human Resource
- Professional certifications in Human Resource (HR Certification Institute (HRCI), Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) USA, Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM) is an added advantage
- Minimum of 12 years’ experience in Human Resource Management with at least 5 years at Senior Management Level
