A reputable company requires the services of qualified candidates to fill the position of Operations Manager.

Job Summary

The right candidate will be responsible for managing the process of production; while ensuring that the business operations activities will improve the value of resources/assets acquired, increase recurring income and the overall value of the business.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees the planning, organization, quality and production process to ensure availability and use of necessary material, equipment, and labor resources daily.
  • Ensure that the company’s operations are efficient with the use of resources and effective in with meeting customer expectations.
  • Develop operations strategy for maintaining process design and implementation, quality management, serviceable assets, production planning and inventory control.
  • Ensures that all products are produced in a correct, cost effective and profitable manner that aligns with specifications and budget.
  • Continually assesses and identifies manufacturing performance gaps
  • Ensures that processes, policies and SOPs are complied with. 
  • Ensures that all hourly team members are trained and certified for the position they are assigned. 
  • Coaches and provides frequent feedback to managers, supervisors and team members on the correct manner to produce product. 
  • Ensures all materials, processes, people and schedules are in place for each day of production.
  • Proactively addresses and provides corrective action, in alignment with Human Resources
  • Performs quality controls and monitors production KPI’s
  • Work with other department heads and other unit to ensure finished products are of the best quality.
  • Designs and implements plans for the effective use of material and labor resources to achieve manufacturing targets.
  • Supervises the operations of manufacturing personnel to ensure the manufacturing process is within budget and time schedule.
  • Oversees the hiring, orienting, and training of technical production employees to ensure a competent, motivated, engaged and happy workforce.
  • Oversees the regulation of work shift to ensure proper workload distribution.
  • Complete and monitor schedule for all production equipment and machines to ensure efficient operations.
  • Champions the Safety Culture. Monitors the manufacturing team to ensure operations are in compliance with health and safety standards

Minimum: B.Sc/B.A
Experience: 5-7 year(s)
